Russian Language Tuition is run by me - Julia - a native Russian speaker based in London, UK. I have been teaching Russian language both online and face-to-face ever since I graduated from Queen Mary, University of London in 2008 with a BA in Russian and English Linguistics. I initially got into private tuition after being recommended by one of my University lecturers to a PhD student and since then I have taught numerous Queen Mary students.
I cover all levels of Russian from Elementary to Advanced and age groups of 14 and up. Whether you are looking for a short-term Russian revision course focusing on the Russian exam preparation (GCSE, A Level, BA, MA, TORFL), an intensive course before your business trip to Russia, help with Russian language essay or long-term Russian tuition to take up as your hobby, I am here to help.
HOW DO LESSONS WORK?
You can learn with me online via Skype or in and around South London. The first lesson is always face-to-face in order to meet in person and decide on a study plan. I provide all study materials and current and relevant real-life media resources to suit your learning objective and prior knowledge of Russian. Every student receives an adapted study plan with homework, “in class” skills practice and systematic testing to monitor their progress and keep learning relevant to their needs. All you need is an Internet connection and we are ready to go.
Studying online via Skype means that we can fit lessons around your schedule and learn Russian anytime, anywhere. The duration, intensity and times of lessons are tailored to suit your needs. The times and days of lessons can vary from week to week to fit with your busy schedule.

"My Tutor is a treasure among language teachers. She is very flexible not only in creating a fitted curriculum around my business Russian requirements, but also regarding our scheduled meetings. Online tuition is a great advantage for very busy people, who still would like to fit in a language class into their busy week. I also love her teaching style because she always seeks feedback on how useful I find the material, sends me links to additional readings and is very encouraging." (Kristina, Morgan Stanley)
Julia is a great Russian teacher. Her friendly nature and clear explanations make learning a very difficult language much easier. Julia is very good at spotting areas that you're struggling with and tailoring lessons accordingly. I would not hesitate to recommend her. (Julia, Sky News)
"I started learning Russian in December 2012, and since then Julia has been my only tutor. In the last five years we had a lot of interesting and enjoyable lessons that helped me not only to practice speaking, writing and reading but also exposed me to Russian culture in the form of movies and traditions. These lessons truly opened a new door for me." (Peter, Tesla Motors)
"Julia brings an excellent sense of structure to lessons not only within individual lessons to ensure all skills are practised, but as part of a wider program. Whilst ensuring I learnt the grammar in a logical and progressive manner, Julia expertly tailored subject matter and resources to my individual learning style and interests. I am always amazed by the wide variety of resources Julia draws upon in classes and exercises she gives to keep me interested. I am not naturally gifted at languages, however, three years later I am still enjoying learning Russian and am inspired every week in my lessons. I cannot recommend Julia enough as a Russian Tutor." (Maureen, Hermes Investment Management)
